Join naturalist and MxLT steward Lucy Meigs for a ~3.5-mile loop Women of the Woods hike in the Mica Ledges and Mt. Pisgah Preserves. We will take a look at the beaver activity along Chalker Brook and visit the beautiful Whitney Pond.
This loop hike will be a combination of walking on old roads, narrow trails and a small amount off trail walking to see beaver activity.

Women of the Woods (WoW) is a program of Everyone Outside and is open to all those who identify as female or gender nonbinary. In addition to hiking, we will take the time to admire the beauty around us, learn a bit about the flora or fauna, do some exercises to connect with the natural world (mostly sitting quietly) and enjoy each other’s company.
Registration is required. Directions will be sent to those that register and registrants will be notified via email if the hike will be postponed or cancelled due to weather.
