CARING FOR OUR PRESERVES
(YES… Stewards Do Have More Fun!)

Please join us and lend a hand at one of our work parties. Whether it is clearing trails, removing invasive plant species, or constructing or painting bridges or kiosks, we could use your special set of skills to improve and maintain our preserves.

We will be setting additional dates for our fall work parties soon – check back for more details!

In addition, our Stewardship Committee meetings are regularly scheduled on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 at the deKoven House, 27 Washington Street, in Middletown. Check with the office ahead of time as we may reschedule to different days of the week to accommodate our committee members’ schedules and planning requirements.

So come join in… we welcome everyone!

Let us know if you want to be on our Stewardship eMail List to get our scheduling and work party information sent directly to you.

You can also contact us at stewardship@middlesexlandtrust.org or kblachowski@middlesexlandtrust.org for more information!

To confirm a work party, get directions, or simply find out more – call or email the land trust office at stewardship@middlesexlandtrust.org. We will be happy to fill you in on the details of being a land trust steward and answer any questions that you might have. For all work parties, it is good to call the day before to make sure that plans have not changed due to weather, and for specific directions to the preserve.

If you can please bring your own tools and gloves, and food and beverage for yourself. We often use loppers, hand saws, maddox and grub hoes, and the like. If you don’t have your own tools, however, we will be happy to provide them.
